1956 VW Beetle - Has original 6 volt system with pop out indicators - but has been fitted with a later model rear indicators.
Wiring for pop outs is still in place but has been taped up before the fuse box. The 1100 motor was rebuilt in 89 with low usage since then - it has been in storage for a number of years. The last three years it has been stored in a secure parking lot of a courier company owned by a friend of mine. The engine is in excellent condition - the battery needs replacing and the engine starts first time from a jump start. I was in the process of restoring it but business commitments have prevented me from going any further. The interior roof lining has been removed in preparation for re-lining. It is in need of a new paint job and for a car of its age the body is pretty straight except for some minor dents.
The floor pan under the battery has some rust. I was in the process of re-vamping brakes - having replaced the master cylinder and some brake lines.
I still have a bleeder nipple to replace which at the moment is replaced with a screw with the same thread. The brakes will need to be re-bled once the nipple has been replaced. I have the original registration and insurance papers as well as the original number plates from when it was first registered. Additionally I have an original set of keys with the VW logo inset into them!
